Harry Clarence Klomp, 66, of Springfield, Missouri, has arrived safely into his Heavenly Home on May 29, 2024. Harry passed peacefully after an extended illness and a lifetime of health issues. Though challenged with limitations, there was no taking his spirit for life down a road he could not navigate. Harry loves God and he is one in Christ. If you knew Harry, you probably also knew his three loves: Jesus Christ, his wife of 42 years, Patty, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Harry was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 15, 1958 to Henrietta and Garrit Klomp. He was a 1977 graduate of Kickapoo High School. He married his soul mate and love of his life, Patricia (Noel) Klomp on December 10, 1982. They have always been Springfield, Missouri residences. Harry leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Patty. A sister, Maryann Looney; a brother, Ralph Klomp. A sister-in-law and one nephew. Harry had and extended family of Brother's and Sister's in Christ; his brother from another mother, Jody Wilson. Harry is preceded in death by parents Henrietta and Garrit Klomp; in-laws Ray and Betty Noel.
Harry resided at Woodland Manor Assisted Living side-by-side with his wife, Patty, since November 2018. Harry was elected President of the Resident Council in 2019 and was proud to represent his fellow residents. May his successor carry forward the same passion. Harry's love for the Chiefs was Harry's well-known trademark at Woodland Manor. He enthusiastically engaged staff and residents to champion the Kansas City Chiefs in season and out. TOUCH DOWN, KANSAS CITY!
A Celebration of Life service is currently in the planning stages and will be announced at a later date for a June service. If you would like to be contacted with this information you may leave your information with Barbara White at: [email protected].
