Harvey Lee Honeycutt, 83, of Sophia, died Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, with Pastor Fredie Meadows officiating.
A native of Randolph Co., NC, Mr. Honeycutt was born May 14, 1942, the son of the late Dallas Odell and Edna Louise Cranford Honeycutt. He had retired from Saunders Leasing and later worked for himself doing mechanical work, and even delivering newspapers. Providing for his family was the most important thing for him. He worked very hard to accomplish that, spoiling them with every way he could. He would give his family the world.
Don't try to tell Mr. Honeycutt that he couldn't do something. He was so strong-willed and stubborn that he would do it just to prove you wrong. He couldn't sit still, always piddling with anything mechanical. He was a huge NASCAR fan, with Dale Eanhardt being his favorite driver.
Survivors include his daughters, Keisha Brady (Ricky) of Randleman, Terrie Honeycutt of Randleman; grandchildren, Brittany Massengill (Tripp), Teryn Millikan, Katelyn Hayes (Travis), Hannah Rush, Drake Brady (Holly); great grandchildren, Candace, Tinley, Blaire, and Brady.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home.
A special, heartfelt "thank you" would like to be extended to all of the staff in the ICU and Critical Care units at Moses Cone Hospital for their compassion care they provided to Mr. Honeycutt on behalf of the family.
