Hattie Ween Haley, 88 of Rockford, IL departed this earthly life on November 5th, 2023 surrounded by her beloved family. Hattie was born December 23rd, 1934 in Lawrence County, Alabama to Cliff Hill and Estella Tucker- Hill. Hattie was a woman of strong faith in God and had a passion for sharing that faith with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hattie had an immense love for her family. She spent most of her life raising children and continued to do so with her grandchildren. She found so much joy in caring for them. Hattie enjoyed fishing, sitting outside drinking coffee, and cooking for her family. Playing the lottery, scratch off lottery tickets, and a trip to bingo was the way to her heart. Hattie had an incredibly welcoming spirit and found joy in helping people. Hattie was blessed with 50 beautiful years of marriage to the love of her life her late husband John Haley. She leaves many cherished memories with her children, Loran Henderson, Gloria (Sonny) Parchmon, Teresa (Gregory) Alexander, Starneika Haley and Dennis Haley Jr.
She also leaves behind her 24 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Hattie was preceded in death by her parents Cliff Hill and Estella Tucker Hill, her husband John Haley, her sons, Terry Hill, John Edward Haley, Dennis Haley, and Johnnie Haley, daughters, Ella Mitchell, Agnes Haley and Pamela Haley, grandchildren, Edward Haley and Johntra Haley.
Services will be held at Collins and Stone 128 S 5th St, Rockford, Il 61104 on Friday, November 10th, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. followed by services beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial to follow at Cedar Bluff cemetery.
The family will be hosting the repass at Greater Great New Fellowship C,O,G,I,C 2610 S 5th St, Rockford, IL 61109 starting at 3 P.M.
