Our family has lost a beautiful soul
she was our spit fire
sassy and stubborn
naughty and sweet
a two-punch kind of girl always
Proud Auntie to Dominick Guthrie, she loved him fiercely. Little Sister to Eric Guthrie and Cassidy VanMatre. She didn't choose this disease or deserve it. She fought it bravely with strength of steel as it robbed her very being. Hayleigh had been in Stage 4 Kidney failure after the delivery and passing of her daughter, Dazeleigh Mae Wilson at 26 weeks along on February 12, 2023. The disease took a toll on her body and it could no longer hold on. She passed peacefully in her sleep at home.
Survived by her parents, brother, sister, and nephew. Along with her grandfather, Richard DeYoung; grandmother, Florence VanMatre; aunts, Suzanne Bickle (Mark Brudos), Pamela Phillips, Donna (Jay) Williams; uncle, Larry Lawrence; cousins, Jessica Phillips, Kimberly Caswell, Crystal Williams, Debbie Lawrence, Nikki Erickson, and Aaron Lawrence. She was loved by her close friends, Genesis Santillan, Shelby Lucian, and Amber Sutherland.
Preceded in death by her infant daughter, Dazeleigh Mae Wilson; maternal grandmother, Janet Bickle; paternal grandfather, Donald VanMatre; and beloved dog, Maeci Mae.
There will be no funeral services as she wished to be cremated and her ashes be placed alongside her daughter's.
A Celebration of life will be announced by family members via Facebook. Friends and family will be invited to come and enjoy the food and festivities and to share your memories of our sweet girl.

Wow, I went to Gaston elementary school with Hayleigh. I remember her for being a beautiful girl with a nice smile with a lisp. This is very sad to read about. Rest peacefully Hayleigh, may your daughter grow with beauty as bright as you.
