Harold E. Lloyd, 81, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 in his home.
He was born December 14, 1943 in Berlin, WI, the son of John and Lois (Beaman) Lloyd. Harold was a 1962 graduate of Berlin High School, Berlin, WI and attended Mankato University. He married Barbara Lloyd on July 19, 1963 in Waukon, IA.
Harold was employed by Chrysler and known as the "Bear" by his co-workers. After his retirement, he donated his time to the Ripon Food Pantry and eventually became the director and ran the food pantry. He formed two AAU State wrestling teams and was the head wrestling coach at Beloit College. In 2019, he was inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame. Harold was very active in the church. He started a men's bible prayer group in Berlin, Beloit and Eureka.
Survivors include his wife, Barb; children, Lyle Lloyd, Dawn (Garrett) Starr, John (Kim) Lloyd, Wayne (Melissa) Lloyd and Dawn Ruthe; grandchildren, Jenifer (Nick) Howard, Wesley (Christina) Starr, Harold Lloyd, Jarrett (Jessica) Starr, Jessica Starr, Forrest (Claire) Lloyd, Whitney (Jacob) Strel and Autumn Lloyd; 16 great grandchildren; and sister, Beverly Lenz.
He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Patsy, Alice, Donna, Audrey, and Hedy.
Funeral services for Harold will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in the Family Worship Center. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in the church.
