Hazel M. Jarvis, 88, loving wife of Gene W. Jarvis for 71 years, transitioned from her earthly home on Monday, May 26, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at her residence. She was born on October 7, 1936, in Georgetown, Kentucky to the late Leslie and Elizabeth McFarland.
She was a faithful member of First Christian Church of Georgetown, Kentucky. She was a self-employed tax preparer for over 40 years.
Hazel will be remembered by her husband, Gene W. Jarvis; son Leslie W. (Carole) Jarvis; daughters Carolyn Jarvis, Kathryn (Timmy) Gray; grandsons Matthew W. Jarvis, and Brett Allen Jarvis; great-grandson Isaac Wellington Jarvis and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Sharp McFarland, father Leslie Norman McFarland; brother Dorman (Smack) McFarland and sister Rachel Griffin.
Visitation for Hazel will be held from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm on Saturday May 31, 2025, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home, 320 W. Main Street, Georgetown, Kentucky 40324. The burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Matthew Jarvis, Brett Jarvis, Timmy Gray, Chuck Ramey, Chuck Brown and Anthony Marshall; honorary pallbearers Maurice Edwards and Alan Griffin.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brandy and Stephanie for taking excellent care of Hazel.
In lieu of flowers please consider are donation to First Christian Church of Georgetown in Hazel's memory. Friends and family are encouraged to share messages of condolences and memories here on Hazel's tribute wall.
