HEATHER B. WEBER was born April 4, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona to William F. Bennett and Lesley S. Bennett and died far too early on January 8, 2025. From an early age Heather displayed a passion for helping others before herself. Heather graduated from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona 1992. She attended Texas Christin University in Fort Worth, Texas where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority, graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communications and Public Relations.
After college Heather worked 4 years with the Phoenix Coyotes as Director of Community Relations and Managing Director of Coyotes Charities, where she met the love of her life Ben Weber. Ben and Heather married in 2006 and had two (2) sons, Jackson (17) and Braden (16).
In time, Heather developed a strong passion for children and the nonprofit sector (medical, health, and pediatrics industry). In 2004, Heather joined St. Jude Children's Research Hospital-ALSAC in the fund raising and major gifts sector. During her many years with St. Jude, Heather relocated from the Phoenix area to the Houston, Texas region as Associate Director, then to the Dallas region as District Director before returning to Phoenix in 2018. Before returning to Phoenix from Texas, Heather worked from 2017-2018 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (Vice President of Development). Upon returning to Phoenix from Texas, from 2018-2021 Heather worked for the Barrow Neurological Foundation (Major Gifts Officer/Manager of Philanthropy). In 2022, Heather returned to St. Jude as Area Executive Director for the Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico Districts.
Heather's compassion for life can be best summarized by the following posting of an unknown author on her Facebook account in 2023:
"To whoever is reading this...
Life might be painful right now, but remember pain is temporary.
Life might be confusing right now, but remember it's worked out
before. Every time you've been worried in the past, it's now a
memory. Don't stress, everything will be fine. You've got this, focus!"
Heather was preceded in death by her mother (Lesley Seator Bennett), her brother-in-law (Joel Dobson), and her very special aunt (Joanne L. Sprouse), and is survived by her husband, Ben Weber, two sons, Jackson Weber and Braden Weber, father William F. Bennett (Becky), sister Holly Dobson, nephew, Bennett Dobson, niece, Berkley Dobson, and many cousins.
A proud yet humble person, Heather was the ultimate wife and mother to Ben, Jackson and Braden, a consummate lady, and always a source of strength and guidance for her family, friends and co-workers. Heather will forever be fondly remembered as an example and role model of integrity and loyalty by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm on January 16th at Valley Presbyterian Church,
6947 E. McDonald Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. To send flowers to the family of Heather, please visit our floral store.
