Heather Martin Wurpel, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, at her home in
Hamilton Square, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 12, 1959, in Somerset, NJ, Heather lived a life characterized by compassion, dedication, and an unwavering love for her family.
A proud graduate of Montgomery High School, Heather moved to Hamilton Township in the late 1980s, where she devoted herself to raising her family and building a warm, welcoming home. Over the years, she served as Office Manager for several businesses, beginning with her years at Whitehouse Chemical Supply before ultimately becoming the cherished Office Manager at the practice of Dr. Martin Scott.
At Full Spectrum Therapy Partners, Heather was affectionately known as the "team mom," and she touched the lives of colleagues and families with her nurturing spirit. She had a gift for making everyone around her feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her unwavering dedication to their mission and the children they serve was evident in everything she did. She brought structure when we needed it most, encouragement when they doubted themselves, and joy in even the busiest of days. Heather had a unique way of holding all accountable while lifting you up higher-pushing each of us to be the best version of ourselves. To the children, she was a steady, loving presence. To the staff, she was a source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional support. You could always count on Heather-for a laugh, a listening ear, or a gentle nudge in the right direction. Her legacy of compassion, loyalty, and love will live on in the work they do every day.
Heather's heart was most deeply woven into the fabric of her family. As "Mom Mom," she reveled in the joy of her five grandchildren-Christian, Justin, Jacob, Taylor, and Joseph-serving as their biggest supporter at countless sporting events and milestones. Heather's passions extended beyond her family; she took delight in gardening, shopping, and fishing, especially during cherished family vacations to the Outer Banks, where countless memories were made.
She was predeceased by her parents, Adrian Martin and Elaine (Fairhurst) Martin Allen; Heather is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Matthew W. Wurpel of Hamilton Square; her daughters, Courtney Snedeker and her fiancé, Chris Burns of Florence, and Jennifer Rotz and husband, Keith of North Hanover; her son, Donald Snedeker of Hamilton; her siblings, Jennifer Berrios of Princeton, Todd Martin of New York, Scott Martin of Montgomery; her stepfather, Dr. Jeff Allen of Toms River; and extended family and many dear friends whose lives she touched immensely.
A Memorial Gathering, in honor of Heather's life, will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way,
Hamilton Square, NJ. Following the gathering, a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:30 p.m., where Reverend Joanne Petto will officiate, guiding us in remembering and celebrating Heather's remarkable journey.
As we honor her legacy, we will forever carry her spirit in our hearts, grateful for the time spent with her and the lessons of love, kindness, and resilience she imparted to us all.
