Helen T. Adams (née DeMarco) passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 21, 2022 at the
age of 76. Loving wife of Robert Adams. Beloved sister of Marie Camoratto (Joseph) and the
late Joseph DeMarco (Mary). She was the devoted aunt of the late AnnaMarie Camoratto
(Gerry Hart), Anthony Camoratto (Karen), Elaine Riches (Mark), Joanne Bohrer (Doug),
Theresa Camoratto (Darren Keir), Maria Sourbeer (Jim), Joseph DeMarco (Marianne), Mary
Ellen Ruby (Michael), Mary Joan Atkinson (John Giordano), Barbara Rote (Scott), Thomasina
DeMarco (John LaPaglia), Anthony DeMarco (Jacqueline). Also survived by 34 loving
grandnieces and grandnephews and many other relatives and friends.
Helen was a proud South Philadelphia native who hosted friends and neighbors at her
annual New Year's Day Mummers Party with her homemade escarole soup. She graduated from
St. Maria Goretti H.S. and St. Joseph's College where she met the love of her life, Bob. Right out
of high school she entered the world of banking where she worked her way up to Vice President
at PSFS Bank followed by many years at St. Edmunds Bank. She was a gifted mentor and friend
to countless peers and clients. In retirement, she and Bob had fun cultivating their keen eye for
buying and selling antiques.
Helen loved the beach and spent many happy days at her home in Sea Isle City enjoying
the breeze and a game of scrabble with the many guests she welcomed openly into her home. She
loved musicals and show tunes and never met a musical holiday ornament that didn't bring joy to
her heart! She is greatly missed by her family but we're happy knowing she's in heaven with the
angels.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Thursday October 27 th at
The Catholic Church of St. Mary, 2001 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ. Interment will follow at
Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
