Helen Marian Critchfield, 61, of Derry Township, passed through death to live with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Friday August 15, 2025. She was born November 8, 1963 in Somerset the only child of the late Robert Wesley and Audrey Helen Lang Critchfield.

She graduated from Derry Area High School in 1982 and was a member of the former Latrobe United Methodist Church where she sang alto in the chancel choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She had been the corresponding secretary for the William Kenly Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, was a member of the Bushy Run Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonists, had volunteered for many years at Latrobe Excela Hospital and as a PAL volunteer in the Derry Area School Food Services Office.. She enjoyed tracing her family tree and was an amateur genealogist. Also, Helen collected dolls and spoons when she traveled, played the piano well and was well known and liked for her caring ways and kindness. She will be greatly missed by her many friends.

Helen is survived by a couple of cousins and her good friends Gwen and Steve Kozar of Derry and Kayleigh "Paisley" Malloy.

Friends will be received Thursday from 4-6 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry, where a service will be conducted at 6 pm with Pastor Paul Wise officiating.

Private interment will be made in the Somerset County Memorial Park, Somerset.
