Helen Jeanine Hudgins

Mrs. Helen Jeanine Mills Hudgins, age 52, of LaGrange, passed away on February 5, 2025. Mrs. Hudgins was born on April 23, 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Donald Mills and Arlene Delaney Mills. She was a Registered Nurse, working for over 29 years at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Hudgins; children, Chance Ussery, Jr. (Summer) and Grace Ussery (Tyler Crews); step-children, Trae Hudgins (Jessica), Lacie Hudgins and Carson Fuller (Blair Thompson); brothers, Donnie Mills (Carlene) and Eddie Mills; sister, Arlene Fowler (Ernie); grandchildren, Will Ussery, Sadie Ussery, Ezra Crews, Rory Crews and Theodore Hudgins; nieces, nephews and extended family.
Helen was a loving and dedicated wife to her husband, Lonnie, with whom she shared a deep bond built on love, respect, and laughter. Helen was known for her boundless energy and joy for life. As a compassionate nurse, Helen cared for countless patients with unmatched devotion, bringing comfort and hope to those in need. Her kind spirit extended beyond her work; she was the heart of her family, always putting her loved ones first. Her children and her cherished grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she found immense joy in being their mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 4:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Preacher Mike Reeves and Pastor Donnie Benefield officiating. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens. Family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 3:00 pm until service hour at the funeral home.
