Helen Estelle Beeson Joyce, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, June 21, 2025. She was born in Forsyth County on October 8, 1935, to the late Carl James and Margeret Marshall Beeson. Helen will be remembered for her ambition and the hard work she put in throughout her life. She retired from Adam-Millis Corporation, where she spent 35 years as a trusted employee. Helen was also the owner of a track, and ran the concession stands during events. She enjoyed walks in the park and spent every free moment she could outdoors. Helen was naturally maternal and caring, and took care of her grandson, Blaine, for over 10 years. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ray Joyce; a sister, Frances Pope; as well as two brothers, Marvin and Jimmy Beeson.
Surviving are Helen’s son, Mark Joyce; her daughter, Melissa Ader; a grandson, Blaine Ader; three brothers, Donald (Nancy), Allen Gayle (Joann), and Gerald (Karen) Beeson; as well as one sister, Deborah (Ray) Willig.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Jeff Barnes officiating. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, at 1801 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262, or to Kernersville Friends Church at 320 N Main St, Kernersville, NC 27284.
