Helen Mininni, 99, passed away June 27, 2025. Helen was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Ralph and Mary DeMartino. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, George Mininni and siblings Anna Pepe, Christine Nobile and Ralph DeMartino
Helen was a devoted mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother whose life was rooted deeply in her Catholic faith. A daily churchgoer, she was a familiar and comforting presence in her parish community, where she faithfully served in numerous ministries. Helen was a dedicated Eucharistic Minister, often bringing communion to hospitals and the homebound, and she also contributed her time and talents to the church's financial committee. Her faith guided every aspect of her life, and she found great joy and friendship in her morning breakfasts with her fellow church ladies. In quieter moments, Helen loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Arlene Rock (Curtis); son, Stephen Mininni (Audrey); grandchildren, Melissa King-Gibson (Scott); Greg Rock (Natalia); Jason Mininni (Diana) and Michael Mininni; and great-grandchildren Gabrielle Rock, Brian King, Nicholas Mininni and Nora Mininni.
A funeral mass will be held at St Stephen, Martyr, Roman Catholic Church, in Chesapeake, Virginia on July 9th at 11:30 am. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence to the family. In lieu of flowers, you may send memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org in Helen's memory.
