Helen Agnes Moore, age 77, passed away on October 28, 2025, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, after several years of declining health.
Helen was born on December 26, 1947, in Lowell, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Timothy Joseph O'Mahony and Helen Agnes (Grimes) O'Mahony. She grew up in Billerica, Massachusetts, as the eldest of five daughters, and graduated from The Howe School in Billerica, Class of 1965. Helen also spent her childhood into adulthood at the family cottage on Bustin Island in Maine. She had many fond memories with her parents, sisters, nieces, nephews and most of all, her children.
Helen's first marriage to Daniel G. Curtis blessed her with three beloved children. Together, they made their home in Billerica, where Helen worked as a supervisor in inspections for Micro Dynamics Co. in Woburn, Massachusetts. She was a communicant of the former St. Mary Church in Billerica where she also taught Sunday School.
Later in life, Helen was fortunate to find love again with Robert "Bob" Bradley Moore, whom she met through mutual friends. They were married on May 14, 1996, and soon after moved to Naples, Florida, where they shared many happy years together. Helen and Bob enjoyed spending time on the golf course-though Helen often preferred simply riding along in the cart, cheering Bob on. Helen went on to serve as an administrator and manager for the Collier County Water Department, a position she held with pride and dedication for 27 years.
Above all, Helen was devoted to her family. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews. Her favorite pastimes included playing whist and bridge, embarking on marathon shopping trips, and doting on her beloved pets.
Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Krystyne and John English, and their children, Mikaylla Raymond, Ava Moscaritolo, and Eli English; her sons, Michael Curtis and his children, Michael G. Curtis, Jake Curtis, Drew Curtis, and Brock Curtis; and Daniel Curtis and his children, Melanie Patriquin and Dani Curtis. She is also survived by her sisters: Kathleen (Jim) Oakley, Geraldine O'Mahony (Fred Altman), Patricia O'Mahony, and Maureen Mackey (Mike), as well as generations of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Road, Billerica, Massachusetts.
