Helen worked with Don at A & W Tool, a company they owned, but her greatest joy was her role being a wife, mother and grandmother as she cherished many fond memories of family gatherings and outings. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, The Alter Rosary Society and the Pittsford Garden Club. Helen had a kind heart and was a local caregiver to many families. She was dearly loved and will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Left to honor her memory are her four children; Jim (Debbie) Wines, Pete (Shari) Wines, Terry (Molly) Wines and Patty (Scott) Knapp, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two brothers; Charles (Dawn) Andrews and John (Julie) Andrews; four sisters; Barbara Spahr, Rita (Mike) Gilbert, Catherine (Phil) Laske and Rose Mary (Tom) Nichols and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Joseph Carl Wines, five brothers; Pat, Joe, Dick, Edward and Jim Andrews and a sister; Ginnie Andreas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hudson with Father Todd Koenigsknecht officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Hudson. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 4-7 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M. at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home or the H. Paul Ruddy Endowment Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.brownvanhemert.com. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home, Hudson.
