Helene Elizabeth Emberson, age 81 of Deerfield, formerly of Blanchardville died at her home, surrounded by her husband and children on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was born on January 18, 1944, to Oscar F. and Leona (Rothie) Anderberg. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Deerfield and graduated from Deerfield High School. She worked at the Kipp Corporation in Madison after graduation. One great night at Club 18 outside of Mount Horeb she met Charles "Chuck" Elliotte Emberson. Their relationship grew and they were married on December 2, 1967, at the St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church in Deerfield. They went to Florida on their honeymoon. They settled in Blanchardville into the family farmhouse where they lived for 55 years until 2002. Helene helped on the farm just a little where Chuck and his brother Robert farmed. They had two children. She raised her two children with Chuck, and then she worked at American TV in the extended warranty department for many years and then worked for WPS Insurance where she retired from after they moved to Deerfield. She also enjoyed cake decorating in Blanchardville and made many wedding and event cakes for others. She was also an active bowler for many years at the Pecatonica Lanes in rural Hollandale. In 2002 they made the decision with Robert to sell the family farm. Chuck and Helene worked together with family helping to build a house in rural Deerfield on the farmland where she grew up, so she was returning home. In retirement Helene and Chuck enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Sweden and Norway. She loved crocheting, and was an active member in Blanchardville of the Blanchardville Lutheran Church, and then after moving to Deerfield the St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church, the church she grew up in.

Helene is survived by her husband "Chuck" Emberson of Deerfield; two children, Rene (Cole) Nicholson of Monticello, and Eric (Maya Miller) Emberson of Baraboo; one brother, Charles Anderberg of Deerfield; five grandchildren, Michael (Shi) Emberson and Theron (Rita) Dailey, Harley Emberson, Holly Emberson, Orion Emberson; and five great-grandchildren, Lacy, Luna, James, Bralynn, and Mason: she was preceded in death by her grandson, Devin Emberson who died in 2013; one brother Fred Anderberg; sister-in-law Jammie Anderberg; and daughter-in-law Heather (Brauer) Emberson.
