Henrietta Magdalene (Gain) Manuel was born July 22,1937 on the family farm in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Cleatious Sylvester Gain and Frances Blissenback Gain. She entered into eternal rest on October 19,2023 at the age of 86. Henrietta retired from the East Baton Rouge School System (Cafeteria) to become a stay-at-home grandmother and spend many wonderful years with her precious family and grandkids. She loved to cook, crochet, read, and color. Henrietta was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Friend. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Henri is survived by her sons, Charles Anthony Manuel (Joyce) of Zachary/Pride, Mark Eugene Manuel (Lorrie) of Zachary/Pride, Thomas Ray Manuel of Zachary/Pride; daughter, Janet Manuel Kimble of Baker; grandchildren, Andrew Dewayne Manuel, Michelle Odette Manuel, Stanley Joseph Manuel (Hannah), Aimee Marie Manuel, Gabrielle Nicole Pratt (Robert), Austin James Manuel, Eric Nicholas Manuel, Brittany Danielle Baggett (Dustin); sister, Emma Tarkington (Doug) of Gun Barrel City, Texas; great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Henri is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene Manuel; son, Michael James Manuel; parents, Cleatious Sylvester Gain and Frances Blissenbach Gain; sisters, Alphonsus Gain, Beth Gain Johnsey (Bill), Bernice Gain Bliss (Herb); brothers, Cleatious Anton "Tony" Gain (Lydia), and William Bernard Gain (Linda).
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 10:30 AM, officiated by Deacon Shelley Joseph. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
