Henry Thomas Boss

Henry Thomas Boss, age 79, of Culloden, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at his home under hospice care. He was born on August 1, 1946, the son of the late Phillip Otis Boss and Florene Bennett Boss.
Tom was born in the upstairs of an old house along Highway 138 in Clayton County, Georgia. Before he was even a year old, his family moved to Stockbridge, the town that shaped much of his early life. He attended Stockbridge Elementary School and later graduated from the old McDonough High School in 1964. In 1967, Tom married the love of his life, Mona, and together they built a family and a home in Hampton. While raising his children, Tom became a familiar presence in the community, one place to see him was the Hampton ballpark concession stand. He could also be found helping with the Eagles Landing High School Marching Band on many Friday nights.
Tom built his career with Delta Airlines, where he held many positions throughout the years. In 2004, Tom and Mona relocated to Culloden, Georgia, where they embraced a quieter life while still remaining deeply rooted in faith, family, and community.
One of Tom's greatest passions was his work with Camp Eunice Youth Camp. From June of 1981 until his passing, he faithfully dedicated himself to its mission, helping countless young people grow in faith and character. He was also a skilled and enthusiastic beekeeper and was proudly involved with the Tara Beekeepers Association. Many knew him as a true Master Gardener whose hands seemed blessed to bring life and beauty from the soil. While living in Hampton, he was an active member of County Line Congregational Christian Church and continued his membership even after moving to Culloden. His faith and service touched many lives over the years.
He leaves behind his wife, Romona ("Mona") Martin Boss; children, Jennifer Jo Donaldson (Eddie) and Stuart Thomas Boss; grandchildren, Cody Edward Donaldson, Ethan Thomas Boss (Marlee), and Sommer Ruth Donaldson; as well as several extended family members and friends. He is fortunate to have until the end of his life his older brother Larry Boss to watch over him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip Boss, Harry Boss.
A service to honor Tom's life will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, beginning 4:00 PM at County Line Congregational Christian Church, 3913 Jonesboro Rd, Hampton, GA 30228. The family will receive friends beginning 3:00 PM until service time at the church.
