Margaret Luvenia Sposaro

Margaret Luvenia Sposaro, age 87, of Peachtree City, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. She was born on July 5, 1939 in Covington, GA to the late Mary Lou and Arthur Lee Sherwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas McArthur Sherwood and Gary Lewis Sherwood.
Lou was a traveler from the start, attending several schools before graduating from McDonough High School in 1957. She met and married the love of her life, Pete Sposaro, in 1961. They had three kids; Annette, Artie, and Amanda. Besides raising three kids, she worked as a secretary at St. James Catholic Church for many years and later at Henry County High School as the bookkeeper and secretary for the Vocational Department before officially retiring. She was a passionate traveler and worked as a part-time travel agent as well. She consistently volunteered at St. James Catholic Church in many ways including as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and hospital chaplain. Lou loved photography, Christmastime, reading, and people, especially kids.
She is survived by her husband, Peter T. Sposaro; her children, Annette, Artie, and Mandy; her grandchildren, JJ, Sydney, Lydia, Lincoln, Elgin, Cannon, Tobin and Isabel; and her sisters, Dianne Towe and Gail Long.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors.
