Patricia Helen Barr

Mrs. Patricia Helen Barr, age 93, of McDonough, Georgia, died on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Pat was born on January 28, 1932, in Winder, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Miller Collum and Helen Virginia McCune Collum. She was married to William Michael Barr for 59 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Eugene Collum and Miller Collum.
Pat was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her children are Phil (wife, Debby Jones) Jeffares, Steve (wife, Debbie Armstrong) Jeffares, Michael (wife, Hope) Barr, and Virginia Barr (husband, Paul) Allen. Pat and Bill have eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pat graduated from McDonough (Georgia) High School in 1949. Upon graduation, she prepared for entry into the world of business by completing programs of the Burrough's Business School and IBM's business preparation program.
Pat was a devoted mother who was always the mainstay of the family. She ensured that the family gathered regularly to maintain a close and loving relationship with all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and their spouses.
She was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in McDonough, where she assumed various positions of responsibility over the years.
A service to honor Pats life will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, beginning 2:00 PM at Mt. Bethel UMC, 992 Mt. Bethel Road, McDonough, GA 30252. The Reverend Bob Tobias and The Reverend Alex Stroud will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt.
