Henry Broughton Jr., age 78, of Gray, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday June 2, 2025, at his home in Gray, Kentucky

He was born in Knox County, Kentucky, on January 7, 1947 and was a son of the late Henry Broughton Sr., and Nicey Bright Broughton. Henry worked for Serve American Vending Company and he was a devoted member of West Corbin Baptist Church. He spent his retired years enjoying his love of mowing and gardening.

On October 13, 1973, he was united in marriage to Wilma Blankenship, and to this union two children were born. 

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his five brothers, Leamon, Homer, Linzie, Clifford "Doc", and by an infant brother Lee; sisters, Forestine Mills, Nadine Smith, and Irene Mills. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Broughton; son, Christopher Broughton and wife Sherry of Corbin; daughter, Crystal Miller and husband Daryl of Gray; grandchildren, Christopher David, Katie, Benjamin, Nathan, and Adam Henry; sisters, Kathleen Bright and husband C.H., and Lorene Barnes and husband Larry all of West Chester, OH; and he leaves many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors who will mourn his passing. 

Visitation for Henry will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, and on Thursday from 12noon until 1 pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday June 5, 2025, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rev. Albert Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Cemetery.
