Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bordentown Home for Funerals on Oct. 1, 2025.
Henry G. Krzewinski, 70, of Crosswicks, passed away peacefully after a brave struggle with heart disease on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the RWJ Serenity Hospice Center in Hamilton. He spoke his mind with a blunt humor that could catch you off guard and he often said exactly what he thought-traits that endeared him to those who appreciated his no-nonsense approach to life.
He was born in Trenton and grew up in Lawrenceville, where he spent his youth fishing and hunting along Stony Brook. As a boy, Henry was an altar server at St. Hedwig Church in Trenton and delivered newspapers on his bicycle route in Lawrence Township. After graduating from Lawrence High School Class of 1972, Henry attended Mercer County Community College, and then Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and formed a fond mentorship with Dr. John C. Mertz.
In 1979 he married his former wife, Mary Jane Wrublewski, and they had three children, Paul, Joanna, and James. Henry worked for A.E. Stanley Manufacturing Company and the Burlington County Soil District. Henry resided in Chesterfield and Crosswicks most of his life where he was proud to have built a home on an acre of farmland and served the community as a volunteer firefighter with Chesterfield Hose Company #262.
Henry's passion for the outdoors endured as he shared his sportsman's love of camping and natural beauty with his children and grandchildren. He was thrown into single fatherhood unexpectedly, and rose to the occasion, planning memorable weekend itineraries and raising three teenagers to successful adulthood with wisdom and frank advice.
Son to the late Henry R. and Genevieve Leszczynski Krzewinski, He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Maryann K. and Joseph Bielamowicz, and three children, Paul Krzewinski and his wife, Jacqueline, Joanna Nice and her husband, Greg, and James Krzewinski and his wife, Lauren. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Calvin, Julia, Connor, Jordan, Cole, and Clayton Nice, and Emma, Lila, and Juliette Krzewinski and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
