Scott was born December 3, 1953, in Anderson, Indiana, to Lloyd Henry and Elizabeth Ann (Singleton) McIntire.
49 years ago, on Saturday, September 6, 1975, in Anderson, he married the love of his life, Debbie (Johns) McIntire, who survives.
Scott and Debbie moved to Valparaiso in 1976 where he worked at Bethlehem Steel (Cleveland Cliffs), and retired after 46 years. He was a huge Indianapolis Colts fan, and loved to Golf. He loved crafts, including drawing and painting. Above all he loved his family.
Scott is survived by his wife, Debbie McIntire of Portage; children, Christopher McIntire of Indianapolis; Nina McIntire of Portage; his granddaughter Aria McIntire of Portage; a brother, Alex (Nora) McIntire of Colorado; nephews, Ryan Holloway and Andrew McIntire; nieces, Melissa McClary and Erica Whitmore; in-laws, Sharon Johns, Larry Johns, Carol Reader, and Scott Johns from central Indiana. Many extended nieces and nephews, and family friend Lori Sylvester.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Suzy Booker; and brother in-law Mark Johns.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Graceland Cemetery Chapel, 1505 E. Morthland Drive, Valparaiso. (219) 462-3511. A visitation and viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until service time.
