Henry J.
Age 82, of Penn Hills, formerly of Glassport, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Beloved husband of 42 years to Joyce (Cunningham) Schultz; Step father of Dana (R.K.) Beaty, Beth Mills, Pamela (Darin) Urick, and Leslie (John) Melaragno; grandfather of J.T.(Megan), Megan (Greg), Christine (Tyler), Ryan, Morgan, Madison, Michael, and the late Joseph. Great Grandfather of Harlow, Brooks, and Sean. Preceded in death by his siblings, Burnett Schultz, A. Daniel Schultz, and Elizabeth (Vance) McCombs; also survived by sister in law, Janet Schultz, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a dedicated fireman and a member of the North Bessemer Fire Hall for decades. A brother to many at the fire house, he will be missed by those he served with. He had a love for people and as such, he had a successful career in retail working in many of the city's furniture stores. In his younger years, he enjoyed sport shooting. A World War II history enthusiast, he was a wealth of knowledge on the topic. A Fireman's Service will be held Sunday, 1:00pm. Visitation will continue immediately following the conclusion of the Fireman's service until the Blessing Service at 4:00 pm in Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills. Memorial Contributions to honor Henry may be made to North Bessemer Fire Hall, 1701 Leechburg Rd, Penn Hills, PA 15235.
