Herbert Werner Gritzan

Herbert Werner Gritzan, age 71, of North Canton, OH, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024.
Herbert was born January 3, 1953 in Massillon, OH to the late Herbert Gritzan, Ulrich and Christl Hoffman. Herbert attended Strasburg High School which he lettered in Football. He was a life-long Cleveland sports fan. Some of his interests were playing basketball and racquetball with his dad and golfing with his brothers. He enjoyed watching his son wrestle, along with his daughters and grandchildren at their sporting events. Herbert was a butcher at trade and worked for many years at Strasburg Provision and Canal Fulton Provision which he retired at age 67. He was also a lifetime member of the New Apostolic Church and served as a minister for 16 years.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Dianne Gritzan; brothers Walter Gritzan of New Philadelphia and Ronald (Tanya) Gritzan of Strasburg; son, Aaron Ullman of Mesa, Arizona; daughters, Carie Bleininger of New Philadelphia, Cassie (Ben) Rosenbaum of Billings, Montana; step-daughter, Kara Newberger of Akron; Grandchildren; Caleb Septer, Katie Bleininger, Rachel Bleininger, Kayla Newberger, Zachary Newberger and Jacob Newberger; Two great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Wilkshire Event Center 474 Jeanne Anne Lane Bolivar, Ohio 44612 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. Followed by a memorial service at 6:30pm and fellowship. Donations may be made to the Massillon New Apostolic Church, 850 8th Street NE, Massillon, OH 44646
