Herbert S. Kirsch, 94, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife Irene (Strauss) Kirsch.

Herb was born on February 9, 1931, in Paterson, NJ, the son of Goldie (Mintzer) and Daniel Kirsch. Herb graduated from East Side High School in 1949, then went on to Voorhees Technical School in NYC, earning a degree in Lithography.

Herb served in the United States Army in Korea in 1952-1953. He earned the rank of Corporal and received the Korean Service Medal with two bronze service stars. He was a radio man with the 931st Engineer Aviation Group.

Herb married Irene (Strauss) Kirsch on June 16, 1956. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this past June. They have two children: Alecia (Gus) Dotterweich and Leonard (Debra) Kirsch, three grandsons: Jordan (Jessica) Kirsch, Daniel (Marina) Kirsch, and David Dotterweich, as well as five great-grandchildren: Everett, Brooke, Austin, Elizabeth, and Logan.

Herb was the co-owner of Kromo-Lith Inc. in Paterson, NJ, a Lithographic Printing Company. Herb was able to fix and build almost anything. He loved model trains and built a large model train display in his basement, which he enjoyed using with his three grandsons. He enjoyed building and listening to his Hi-Fi stereo, which his oldest grandson continues to use. Herb was also a very talented wood carver who enjoyed carving figurines to display and Yads to give to his synagogue friends.

Herb and Irene were longtime members of the Fair Lawn Jewish Center in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and of Temple Beth Shalom in Boca Raton, Florida.

Herb was predeceased by his parents, Goldie and Daniel, and his sister Edna (Kirsch) Frost. Herb will be greatly missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In memory of Herb, donations can be made to the Jewish War Veterans or to your favorite charity.

A graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 28th.
