Herbert, a beloved long-time resident of Antioch, dedicated over 55 years to his community as the sole proprietor of Herb's Tree Service. With a passion for caring for trees, he not only removed them but nurtured them, leaving a lasting impact on the landscape and the people he served. He took great pride in his work and left a lasting mark on the community. In his free time, Herbert loved attending auctions, always on the lookout for equipment for his business. He was a loving husband, doting dad, and the best papa, who will be deeply missed.
Survived by his son, Herbert James Kufke; daughter, Kelly Lynn Kufke; grandchildren, Justice Bottenfield, Daelynn Kufke; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard A. Kufke; sister, Pamela (Eugene) Miller; sister-in-law, Kim (Scott) Kasperek; loved Uncle and Great Uncle of many.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Horvath on September 1, 1995.
Services were private.
