Herbert "Obbie" Lee Cole

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Herbert "Obbie" Lee Cole will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Monsignor James Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Deville, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Cole, 77, of Deville, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Regency House, Alexandria, LA.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. A welder for most of his life, he took pride in his work and craftsmanship. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found peace in the outdoors where he felt most at home. He had a deep passion for music and played in several bands over the years, but his greatest joy came from time spent with his family. Known for his kind heart and the patience of a saint, he was a steady presence in the lives of those who loved him. Such grace did require the occasional sneak away to "the camp" to recharge and reconnect with nature. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jane Zeringue Cole; his parents, Hiram and Odie Cole; one brother, Elton Ray "Bo" Cole; and one sister, Nelda Faye Cole.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one son, Spencer Cole (Kelli) of Pineville; two daughters, Autumn Lynn Cole Jolly of Alexandria, and Shelley Snodgrass (Shane) of Pineville; one brother, Tim Cole (Susan) of Deville; five grandsons, LTJG. Hayden Jolly, SSgt. Ashton Jolly, Keaton Jolly, Zane Roshto, and Logan Snodgrass; four granddaughters, Fallon Jolly Noell (Russel), Kannin Cole, Mallori Cole, and Cailey Roshto; two great-grandsons, Rex Noell and Felix Noell; and one great-granddaughter, Rosalie Noell.

A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Holy Rosary will be led by Father Luke Lafleur at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Zane Roshto, Logan Snodgrass, Shane Snodgrass, Ron Cole, Charlie Charrier, and Jordan Temple. Honorary pallbearer will be Kevyn Cole.
