Herbert Schell Obituary
Born in Paterson, he moved to Ridgewood in 1950 and was a Graduate of Ridgewood High School, Class of 1952. A 1956 Graduate of Seton Hall University, Herb proudly served his country in the US Army Reserve. A parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Ridgewood, Herb worked for Prudential Insurance Company for 20 years, retiring in 1996. Herb was active with Little League Baseball. He was also an avid gardener specializing in tomatoes which he enjoyed sharing with his neighbors.
Beloved husband of Shirley Schell. Devoted father of Brian and Laura Schell. Dear brother of the late Anne Gibbs and the late Edward Schell. Cherished brother-in- law of Lynn Schell. Loving uncle of several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Ridgewood Emergency Services, 33 Douglas Place, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.
Cremation was private under the direction of Compassionate Cremation Services, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
