Heriberto Latigo Vidal, 77, of Spring, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2024. Born on November 16, 1946, in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Heriberto was known for his loving nature as a father, unwavering commitment as a husband, tireless work ethic, and his unique sense of humor. He was a very humble and stoic man who preferred solitude; these were hallmarks of his character.
Heriberto's vocational journey began in the field of accounting in his native Mexico. Upon relocating to the United States, he transitioned into a career in heavy civil construction, dedicating over 35 years to the industry he was passionate about.
A man of many interests, Heriberto found joy in maintaining his classic vehicles, notably his cherished 1950 Mercury and 1954 GMC 100 pickup. He was also an avid hunter and proudly showcased his trophies around the house. He enjoyed spending time on home projects, which resulted in him forging a beautiful home for his family that was filled with many memories.
Heriberto's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his devoted wife of 35 years, Mery Latigo; his children: Eric Latigo (and daughter-in-law, Emily Latigo), Resfa Latigo (and son-in-law, Roberto Colon), and Herimer Latigo Gonzalez (and son-in-law, Jose Gonzalez); his adored granddaughters: Jahn'Meri and Amira Gonzalez; his younger brother, Juan Latigo Vidal; and his warm-hearted dog Estrella; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Latigo Gallegos and Maria de Jesus Vidal Paredes, and his siblings: Minerva L. Jimenez, Maria de Jesus Ramirez, Guadalupe Latigo de Ramirez, Rosalva Latigo de Ramirez, Elvia Latigo de Sanchez, Jose Angel Latigo, and Francisco Latigo Vidal.
The Latigo family has entrusted McNutt Funeral Home to hold a private family ceremony on March 29, 2024 with the arrangements for Heriberto's farewell. His legacy of love, laughter, and humility will be forever remembered by those who had the privilege to know him.
