Herminio Alicea Obituary

Herminio was born on April 15, 1947, in Barceloneta, PR, to the late Jose Alicea and Magdalena Rosado. Herminio retired from the Town of West Hartford Grounds and Maintenance Department after 22 years.
Herminio was a hard worker who loved keeping busy doing DIY projects and treasured spending time with his family.
Herminio is survived by his sister, Julia Alicea and his brother, Diego Alicea both from Puerto Rico; his sons, Jose Marvin, Marco, and Herminio and his wife Ileana Alicea; his beloved grandchildren, Jose Marvin, Jr., Jaden W., Marissa, Marco Jr., Josiah, Isaiah, Jacob, Gabriella; his two great-granddaughters, Luna and Caira; and many beloved nieces and nephews in Connecticut and Puerto Rico.
Besides his parents, Herminio was predeceased by his sister Maria and his brothers, Jose Ramon and Angel Alicea.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Calling hours will be Monday, (June 23), from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. A Graveside Service will follow in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington.
