She was born in Salem, NJ., to Stokely Arrowood and Henrietta Pierce Arrowood.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie D. Messer; parents, Stokely and Henrietta Pierce Arrowood; sisters, Edith Mullaney, Shirley (Dewey) Lunsford, Ann (Joey) Burnette; brother, Tommy C. Arrowood; step-father, Frank C. Pack; and sister-in-law, Johnnie Pack.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Messer; daughter, Susan (Micheal) Messer-Foshie; her loving grandson, Philip (Addie) Foshie; brother, Jimmy C. Pack; sister, Jackie Allen; also several other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Dr. Conway and his staff and to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
The Graveside Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025, in the Jonestown Cemetery with Rev. Steve Blanchard Officiating. Burial to follow.
