She is proceeded in death by her father, Roger Acord; mother, Bonnie Smallwood; her daughter, Shelly Acord; grandson, Christopher Acord; and her brother, James "Andy" Acord.
She is survived by her daughters Kelly Acord Sevilla and Shea Acord Barrionuevo, both of Newport; her grandson, Michael Messer; granddaughters, Rachael Gomez-Williams, Kiara Sevilla, Sheali Morales, Alicia Morales and Dara Sevilla all of Newport; her great-grandchildren, Ariel Williams and Anneliese Sevilla; her siblings, Patsy Lisle, Nancy Hypes, Roger Acord, Sherry Ellison, Gary Acord, Kenny Acord, Susie Layman, and William "Bear" Smallwood; she also leaves behind her dearest friend, Sharon Turner; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Manes Funeral home in Newport, TN. As per her wishes, she was cremated, and her ashes will be spread on Rich Mountain with her beloved Ray Gahagan.
