Bagnell & Son Funeral HomeHiram Albert McCarthy, III (Bootsa, Al) of Mandeville, Louisiana, born September 20, 1964, passed away on September 11, 2025 at the age of 60.
Hiram was born in New Orleans and is predeceased in death by his parents Hiram Albert McCarthy, Jr. and Doris C. McCarthy.
Hiram is survived by his brothers Ronald McCarthy (Ilona) Andre McCarthy (Tina), Kenneth McCarthy (Shirley), and sisters Eileen Charitat and Darleen McCarthy (Tammy Shiner); former spouses Kathy Chavanell and Corby Bragg. Family members who will miss him dearly are his numerous nieces and nephews in Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and Texas cousins: Brenda Butcher and Kathryn Green (Wesley) and their families, Paul Hebert and Michael Hebert.
Hiram graduated from Warren Easton High School and was a driver for Pepsi for 29 years before retiring in 2012 for medical reasons. He was an avid body builder in the 90’s. He loved concerts, cooking, classic TV, sushi, motorcycles, car shows and family gatherings.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 10:00-12:00 on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Covington Presbyterian Church, 222 S. Jefferson Ave., Covington, LA. A mass will follow at 12:00 in the church. Interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Heart Association or the American Stroke Foundation.
