Loving husband of Cathleen (nee Leake) Weller; very proud father of Maddy, Avery, and Landon; beloved son of Sandy (nee Moore) and Morris Weller; dear brother of Monica (Paul) Tiffany, Clayton Weller, and Karl (Julie) Weller; caring brother-in-law of Colleen (Grant) Leake-Griffith and Maureen (Jeff) Copeland; cherished uncle of Kiera, Cammie, Lexi, Justin, Christoph, Kinsley, Kora, and Katherine.
Hollis proudly served as a Sergeant with the Joliet Police Department for 20 years, dedicating his life to protecting and serving his community. A passionate football fan, he especially loved cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Hollis had a deep appreciation for firearms and took pride in sharing his knowledge as a firearms instructor. He also enjoyed bourbon, writing, riding his Harley Davidson, music, and relaxing by the beach or pool. He was an animal lover & adored his fur-child Roscoe.
Above all, Hollis cherished his family. Whether coaching his children, attending their sporting events, or simply spending quality time together, his greatest joy came from being with those he loved most. Please no flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his children's Education Fund are appreciated.
Visitation Wednesday May 28, 2025, from 3 – 8 PM at Hickey Memorial Chapel, 2100 Calistoga Drive, New Lenox, IL 60451.
