Holly Ann Smith Birx

Holly Ann Smith Birx, was born May 17, 1961 in Atlanta, GA. She was the youngest child of Lavaughn and JoAnn Smith. After a courageous 7-year battle with breast cancer, Holly was looking forward to seeing Jesus face to face and those of us with her when she passed, witnessed her open her eyes and gaze upon the Glorious sight. We were on Holy Ground, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:05 pm. Her passing was symbolic as the days preceding her passing, she continued to tell her sister, "Was it time to go?" "Robin, I am ready".
Holly is survived by her devoted sister, Robin Smith Palmer; Nephews, Justin (Jori) Palmer, Michael (Niki) Palmer and niece, Stephanie P and Jackson Wyss and 8 great nieces and nephews, whom she loved to spoil. Aunt Holly always brought the treats and gifts. Holly was predeceased by her parents, Lavaughn and JoAnn Smith, her brother, Michael L Smith, her brother-in-law, Glenn D Palmer.
Holly graduated from Tucker High School in 1979, Georgia State University in March 1985 with a BBA. She began her successful career as a pharmaceutical representative and became one of the top salespeople for any company she worked for. She retired from Bayer and went on to work in non-profit healthcare assistance. Holly's passions were working in the yard, bible study, spoiling her family, and shopping. Holly was known for her generosity, kindness, and being an animal lover, especially cats. Holly's love for Jesus and his people was evident for everyone she met. Holly was dedicated to her church, Main Street Church and the lovely people who became treasured friends.
Despite Holly's battle with cancer, she remained hopeful, smiling, and grateful for her blessings. She continued to carry her inner beauty and radiated joy to all who came into her path.
Holly would want all her friends to know, she is free of pain and enjoying Heaven to its fullest.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Main Street Church in Tucker.
Visitation 10am-11am Service 11am Churchwide reception immediately afterwards.
