Hosea Bell Waire, 89, of Galveston, TX, Fell asleep in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her residence. Hosea was born into this world on February 17, 1935, in Mansfield, LA to the late Landry Claiborne and Bettie Atkins Claiborne. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member for over 60 years to Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church. Hosea was employed for over 35 years in material management at U.T.M.B. Hospital, until her retirement. She adored her family and loved spending time with them. Hosea will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Hosea was preceded in death by husband, Johnny Waire; parents; son Graylon Waire; son-in-law, Troy Davis Sr.; brothers, Vodis, Dawson, Sonny; sisters, Helen, and Betty.
She will be lovingly remembered by sons, Leo Waire Sr. (Gwen), Landra Waire (Lora); daughter, Janice Davis; grandchildren, Janise Waire, Troy Davis, Jr., Jarred Davis, Tralonny Peterson, LaTanya Ford, Nichae Black, Shawn Waire, Leoshia Waire, Leo Waire Jr., Amari Bell; great-grandchildren, Jazmyn Gilbert, King Artmore, Daniel Davis, Zoe Davis, Trinity Davis, Briannah Lordeus, William Bryant III, Jordae Peterson; brother, Alford Claiborne; sister, Edith Claiborne; nephews, Sean Claiborne, Reggie Claiborne; niece, Lysa Claiborne, and a host of extended relatives and friends.
