Howard Hesseltine, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, adoring Husband of almost 40 years, loving Father of four, admired Papa, and devoted dog Dad, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the age of 81.
Howard was born on March 15, 1943, in Fort Bragg, California to Glen and Ethel (Hahn) Hesseltine. He served his country in the Navy as a Corpsman, and retired from Tinker Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic.
Howard was an avid reader. In good weather, you would find him on the patio reading, listening to music, discussing politics, working in the yard, or taking his pups Sadie Grace and Ollie George for a walk.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Marilyn.
He is survived by his wife, Dena; his four children; Amie (Corey) Teel and their children Caden Albright, Braden Teel, and Rumer Teel; Christopher (Haley) Ward and their children, Taylor, Asa, Gunnar, and Dublin; Kirk (Jessica) Hesseltine and their children, Westyn, Savannah, Wyatt, Sawyer, Kamryn, and Nova; Glenn (Renee) Hesseltine and their children Shaina and Mikayla (James) Hartranft; two great-grands, Scarlett and Renee; brother, Walter Hesseltine; and many other family members and friends.
A visitation for Howard will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, from 12:00PM to 7:00PM at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd, Midwest City, OK 73130. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Howard, please visit our Tree Store.
