FARMINGTON – Howard Leland Klepzig, of Farmington entered eternal rest on May 18, 2024, at Cedarhurst Senior Living at the age of 82. He was born on August 7, 1941, in Bloomsdale, Missouri, to Claude Leland and Margaret (Hibner) Klepzig.
Howard is survived by his daughters, Sherri Klepzig of Farmington, Terri (Adam Kurzejeski) Klepzig of Kirksville, and Dr. Andrea Klepzig of St. Louis, his grandsons, Howard Grant Klepzig and Cullen Leland Klepzig, his nephews, Keith Gray and Brad Gray, many friends and his grand dogs, Woodford and Oliver.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 59 years, Mary Anna (Rickus) Klepzig who passed away on March 31, 2024, his sister, Shirley Evelyn Sutherland, and his niece, Kelly Gray.
Howard served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He was the owner of Klepzig Wood Products, Inc., and Bowl-Aire Lanes. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge #1765 of Farmington, the Historical Society, the Missouri Forest Products Association, and the Associated Cooperage Industries. Howard was an avid bowler and belonged to the American Bowling Congress. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church, 425 North Street, Farmington, MO with Pastor Ron Beaton officiating. Interment to follow at Copenhagen Cemetery.
