FARMINGTON – Mary Anna Klepzig, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on March 31, 2024, at Cedarhurst at the age of 80. She was born on December 29, 1943, in Farmington, Missouri, to Chester and Virginia (Cleve) Rickus, who preceded her in death.
Mary Anna is survived by her husband of 59 years, Howard Leland Klepzig, her daughters, Sherri Klepzig of Farmington, Terri (Adam Kurzejeski) Klepzig of Kirksville, and Dr. Andrea Klepzig of St. Louis, her grandsons, Howard Grant Klepzig and Cullen Leland Klepzig, her siblings, Glenn (Janet) Rickus of Farmington and Lana Dickey of Grand Rapids, MI, nieces, Laura, Lisa, and Kelly, her nephew, Cullen, many friends and her grand dogs, Woodford and Oliver.
Mary Anna attended Farmington High School and was the school's first homecoming queen. Along with her husband, Howard, they were the owners of Bowl-Aire Lanes in Farmington for many years. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church where she previously taught Sunday school for 20 years and was involved in the United Methodist Women's Group. She also belonged to the Women's Bowling Association, the Historical Society, and the Missouri Forest Products Association. Mary Anna will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church, 425 North Street, Farmington, MO with Pastor Ron Beaton officiating. Interment to follow at Copenhagen Cemetery. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the Visiting Veterinarians International, 9825 SE Tower Drive, Damascus, OR 97089.
