Howard John Provinsal, Sr., age 81, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2025, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Born on August 9, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Howard lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his faith.
Howard graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in 1961. Shortly thereafter, he began a long and steady career with Wonder Bread, where he worked diligently for 34 years before retiring in 2002. His strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were hallmarks of his character.
Howard was raised in the Catholic faith, which remained an important part of his life throughout the years. His spirituality provided him with strength and guidance during both joyful and challenging times.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Jimma Provinsal; his brother Raymond; and his children: Howard Provinsal Jr., Sarah (Sean) Adair, Manon (Shawn) Taylor, and Dawn (Charles) Whitlatch-Crooks. He also leaves behind grandchildren Brittany Carter, Colton Carter, Xaviara Snider, Sierra Adair, Seann-William Adair, Mark Cooper Provinsal, Taryn Reynolds, and Ashleigh Foster; as well as nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved Golden Retriever, Bella, who was a constant companion and source of joy.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents Jake and Esther Provinsal; siblings June, Mary Alice, Richard, and Don; and his children Patricia, Mark, and Susan.
A kind-hearted and thoughtful man known for his unique sense of humor;
Howard found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing on quiet afternoons, taking road trips to explore new places, watching sports, playing guitar, listening to music, teaching Bella new tricks, and spending time with his family, who meant the world to him.
Howard's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, patience, and playful spirit.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
