His past leadership experiences include President of the Georgia Jaycees and Chairman of the Board for the New York Association of Convenience Stores.
Howard loved the game of golf. As a member of Centre Hills Country Club, he played golf on any day that ended with a 'y', and scored a Hole-in-One on #18. In the many years of his membership, he served on the CHCC Golf Committee and Social Committee and was Chairman of the CHCC "The Seniors" Golf Tournament, which was renamed after him in 2024. Howard also served as President of CHCC and pledged to bring a smile to every member and employee of CHCC.
With Howard's love of family, he made it his obligation to bring everyone together each year for the family reunions. Starting in Gatlinburg, TN, houseboat excursions in TN, then venturing out to Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky and Georgia. What a great time had by all.
