In the arms of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ is our beloved HUMBERTO “BOY” CORDOVA LARA, JR at the age of 66 earned his wings on Monday, December 23, 2024 at home. He was born on December 11, 1958 in Odessa, Texas to Ernestina White Cordova and Humberto Valdez Lara, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Josefina White & Salvador Cordova, Sr. and Ursula Valdez & Jesus Lara; and brother-in-law Jeremy R. Sturgeon.
He is survived by his sons: Michael H. Lara, Samuel H. Lara, and Humberto “Chacho” H. Lara, III all of Odessa, Texas. Sisters: Margie C. Lara of College Station, Texas; Blanca Diaz & her husband Joe Diaz of Round Rock, Texas; Liza Michelle Sturgeon from Corpus Christi, Texas. Grandsons: Rene Lara, Samson Lara, Elijah Lara all of Odessa, Texas; Granddaughters: Samantha Lara, Ariel Lara, and Alli Lara all of Odessa, Texas; Nephews: Roman G. Venegas of College Station, Texas, Jonathan R. Sturgeon (Kallie), Joseph R. Sturgeon (Arely), Joshua R. Sturgeon, Jackson R. Sturgeon, and Royce Sturgeon all of Corpus Christi, Texas; Great-Nieces: Harlie Sturgeon and Isla Sturgeon of Corpus Christi, Texas
Visitation will be held Sunday December 29, 2024 from 1:00PM - 9:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home. Prayer Vigil Service with a Rosary on Sunday December 29, 2024 at 7:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home. Funeral Prayer Service with the Liturgy of the Word will be held at 1:00PM Monday December 30, 2024 at Martinez Funeral Home.
