Hunter "Wth" Randolph Moore, IV

March 5th, 1992 - September 24th, 2025

It is with profound sadness we announce that Hunter Randolph Moore, IV has gone to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept 24, 2025.

Hunter is survived by his loving wife, Taylor, and their three children, Cameron 11, Maiya 10 and Archer Moore 5. His parents, Randy and Sherri Moore. His sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Jeremy Shadden, and their two children Addie and Bryleigh Shadden. His loyal canine companion Sasha and the bane of his existence, Ellie Moore.

Hunter leaves behind a large and loving family and countless friends. Our presence here is a testament to the profound impact he had on so many lives.

Hunter was born in Houston, Texas on Thursday, March 5, 1992. He came into this world with a room full of family and friends. That's not just a touching description of his birth, it's a literal description of how many people were present at the hospital awaiting his arrival. The doctors and nurses were commenting about the 15 people partying in the waiting room at 10pm, to which they were informed the party was for Hunter. Little did we know then, that 33 years later, he would have many more people in his room who visited him before he met Jesus.

Hunter grew up in a loving home centered on Christ and all things family. He began hunting with his Dad at two. On his first hunting trip, when he saw his Dad point his gun at a deer, Hunter yelled, "Don't pow it Daddy." Despite Dad losing out on a trophy, Hunter found his love for guns and enjoyed many hunts with his dad. Early on, one of Hunter's many nicknames was "monkey". Mom used this often after he learned how to climb out of his crib. That was the inspiration for a Halloween costume. Handmade by Mom, Hunter starred as a monkey in a wagon, enclosed with a cage. From then on, Hunter and Mom enjoyed topping the previous year's costume.

Hunter's first four years were spent peacefully as an only child until he gained his little sister, Jessica. He was a very protective big brother, who only sometimes harassed and tortured her. Note: bark collars are for dogs, not for little sisters. Growing up he gave her countless advice, both good and bad. They spent many hours on the gun range, shooting pistols and long guns. He nitpicked her shooting and reminded her to dry fire nightly. He did not tell her that the easiest way to sneak out of the house was through the front door. Thankfully, as adults, they leaned on each other through hard times. Jessica always looked up to Hunter, and felt his brotherly love when he posted on social media stating "my sister is cooler than yours".

Hunter met the love of his life, Taylor, in 2019, and he knew instantly that she, along with her children Cameron and Maiya, was his forever family. In August 2019, he shared their happy news with his parents via a text reading "bun in the oven." He proposed Christmas Day 2020 and the two were married. He was a loving dad, and the proudest moment of his life was when his youngest child, Archer, was born. Their home was a lively one, with a growing number of pets thanks to Taylor's endless quest to adopt every animal they met.

While Hunter would playfully insist that his greatest role was being the family's "always right" compass, he found true joy in Taylor's lighthearted spirit. For six years, it never failed that every time Taylor asked him, "What's your favorite thing about me?" he always said, "Everything." It wasn't until September 22nd that he finally confessed his actual favorite things, a list she'll always hold near and dear to her heart. He especially cherished the moments Taylor would reluctantly but lovingly join him in his favorite game, WoW, proving a happy compromise was always worth the raid.

Due to his love of fast cars and performance trucks, Hunter attended UTI. After graduation he started his career as a diesel mechanic. He then moved into the oil and gas industry. He made countless friends over the years in the various shops he worked, friendships that would follow him into other areas of his life.

Hunter had a knack for forging deep and meaningful friendships, from his various jobs to his online community. As a huge fan of World of Warcraft since he was 14, he was consistently one of the top players and became the life of every guild he joined. Hunter was always there for his friends, offering unwavering support, comfort, and help through their toughest times. His online friendships were so profound that many grew into lasting real-life connections, a true reflection of his loyalty and kind spirit.

Hunter will always be remembered for his sarcastic wit and his unwavering authenticity. We'll miss his contagious laughter and the way he was always a smart-ass, but a selfless, patient, and loving one. We couldn't have asked for a better husband, father, son, brother and friend, and will miss Hunter every single day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
