Icarian Alexander Carty, age 20 of Centerville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2025. He was born October 19, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Icarian graduated from Centerville High School, Class of 2023. He then furthered his education at both the University of Cincinnati and Sinclair Community College. Icarian was known for his exceptional sense of style, always presenting himself impeccably dressed in suits and ties, often sporting these polished looks even during his daily school routine. This dedication to his appearance was emblematic of his character. Through his creativity, kindness and enthusiasm for gaming, anime and art he built thriving vibrant communities where people felt valued, welcomed and seen. A talented musician, Icarian had a passion for playing a variety of instruments. His musical abilities allowed him to express himself and he happily shared this gift with those around him. His legacy of love, connection, and inclusivity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Icarian is survived by his loving parents, Tiffany Waldren and Ernel Carty; his stepmother Angela Carty; and brothers, Easton and Achilles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459).
