2025. She was the beloved wife of Alejandro Almaraz for 65 years.
Imelda was born in Port Arthur, Texas and graduated from Jefferson High School. She enjoyed
cooking, gardening, Big Band music and she was an avid Houston Astro's fan. She loved
spending time with her family and friends.
Imelda was preceded in death by her parents, Vicenta and Nicasio Camarillo, sister Irma
Camarillo Jones (Dean), brother, Ruben Camarillo (Emma). She is survived by her husband,
Alejandro Almaraz, daughter, Cynthia Carpio (Tony), granddaughter, Gabrielle Carpio (Mario),
niece, Kimberly Jones Clark (Benjamin) (Jae Clark), nephew, Reuben Todd Jones and a host of
extended family and friends.
Imelda has touched many lives and will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.
A graveside service will be at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 at the VA cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the America's VetDogs
Organization, www.vetdogs.org.

Imelda was such a very precious lady. She was a part of our family for many years. She always brought us joy with her sense of humor. She is truly missed. I know she's so excited to see the beauty of heaven and her savior Jesus Christ
