Ingrid Brigitte Bandowski, of Rolla, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the age of 84.
She was born on May 7, 1941 in Leipzig, Germany to the late Richard Lortz and Elvira (Mossner) Lortz. On December 10, 1961, she married Reinhard Bandowski in Los Angeles, California. Reinhard passed away on September 3, 2025.
In addition to her parents, Ingrid was also preceded in death by a sister, Elfrieda Stiab.
Ingrid was a member of the New Apostolic Church of Rolla. She was a true lover of animals and traveling. She was a very talented musician and she enjoyed playing the piano, harmonica and organ. Being outdoors and planting beautiful flowers was a favorite pastime. Ingrid made friends very easily and she loved visiting with her friends and family.
Ingrid will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: three sons, Michael Bandowski and wife, Amy, of Union, MO, Gert Bandowski of Rolla, MO, and Richard Bandowski and wife, Tiffany, of Rolla, MO; one daughter, Petra Hill and husband, Jeff of Union, MO; ten grandchildren, Maddy, Audrey, Emma, Matthew, Brandon, Hannah, Megan, Chauncey, Kirsten and Bethany; and four great grandchildren, Layla, Andrew, Wyatt and Sybil.
A memorial service for Ingrid B. Bandowski will be conducted at 2:30 pm. on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the New Apostolic Church in Doolittle. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:30 pm at the church.
