Roy Daniel Mang Jr.

Roy Daniel Mang, Jr., of Newburg, MO, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the age of 69.
He was born on July 22, 1956 to the late Roy and Virginia Mang. He grew up in Florissant, MO and graduated from McClure High School in 1975. He married Debbie Schuler on January 17, 1976. They would be blessed with 49 years of marriage together and had two daughters and 4 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Roy was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Mang.
Roy worked in the restaurant business for 48 years. He started as a dishwasher at Mrs. Henry's in Florissant, MO, and after working at many different restaurants would end his career as a manager at Bandana's in Rolla, MO.
Roy was an avid lover of trains. He enjoyed working on his model train display and chasing and riding real trains. He also liked spending time woodworking, fishing, being outdoors, and working on his property. At the end of the day, he would sit by the fire pit, smoke a cigar, and listen to classic rock.
Roy was a devoted family man and will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his loving wife, Debbie Mang of Newburg, MO; two daughters, Jennifer Matulewic and husband, David of Maryland Heights, MO and Stephanie Hines and husband, Jason of St. Charles, MO; a sister, Cathy Luckey and husband, Herb of Washington, MO; and four grandchildren, Marshall Hines, Cordelia Matulewic, Wyatt Hines, and Emerson Matulewic.
A funeral service for Roy D. Mang, Jr. will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Edgar Springs, MO. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in Roy's memory are suggested to the Huntington's Disease Society of America.
