Irby Toups, Jr. Obituary
Irby H. “Sonny” Toups, Jr. passed away on June 11, 2023 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of Pam Balestra Toups. Son of the late Irby and Ida Pitre Toups. Brother-in-law of Joe Balestra (Adeline), Ralph Balestra Jr. (Marylynn), Sal Balestra, Brian Balestra (Jodi), and Gwen Meinhardt (John). Also survived by his dear friend Chad Foret (Mayerlin) and their son, Jake and his hunting buddy, Herbert Perque along with many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sonny served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for Westbank Electric and later retired as a Process Operator from the Alliance Refinery after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching sports.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
