Jeannine McGuire Burgin passed away on September 2, 2025. Beloved mother of Johnny Burgin (Lotte Arnsbjerg) and Katy Burgin. Grandmother of Melinda Burgin, Rosaleah Glantz, Saul Fairlie, and Autumn Fairlie. Daughter of the late Ray McGuire and Lea Vaughn McGuire. Sister Debbie Pearce (Rich), and the late Michael McGuire, Pat McGuire, and Mary McGuire. Age 87 years, a native of McComb, MS, longtime resident of Gretna, LA. Jeannine graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS where she received her Bachelors in Philosophy. She attended Vanderbilt University for graduate work and later in her career attended Mississippi State University to earn her Masters in Food Science. She spent her career as a recruiter in Food Science and Engineering industries. Later she moved back to Louisiana to be close to family. She enjoyed painting, bird watching and classical music. Special heartfelt thanks to her caregiver especially Julie Jenkins as well as the staff at Living in Love group home. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association. Interment will be private. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
